Welcome to Ms. Hicks's Teacher Page

I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and went to college in Madison, Wisconsin. After receiving my degree in Elementary Education with an early childhood emphasis I moved to San Francisco in 1998.  I began teaching that fall at Lakeview Elementary School in Oakland.  I spent the next 12 years teaching 1st and 2nd grade at Lakeview.  After marrying my husband and having my first child we moved to San Leandro.  That's what brought me to Dayton.  I live in the Washington Manor area and both of my children are Dayton Tigers!  I spend my free time reading, hiking, and enjoying my family.
