ABSENCES

Each time your child is absent from school please call our school attendance line # 317-3699 or email Dayton Attendance at [email protected] on the day of the absence, before 9:00 am.

 

If you do not call us, you will need to send an absence note with your child upon return to school. Parents/guardians of students who are marked absent will be called at home or at work to report the absence on a daily basis. The district attendance officers will be notified when a student accumulates excessive absences. If you know in advance that your child will be absent for several days for non-medical reasons, you may arrange with the teacher for an excused, Pre-Informed Study Contract. Please make your request at least one week in advance to provide the teacher time to prepare assignments.
